Baghdad US Embassy? More Like Resort

A gym, swimming pool, tennis court, food court, barber and beauty shop. These are things you might find at a really nice hotel or resort. They’re not what you think of when you think of an embassy. When I read the first article I was skeptical, but after digging some more my skepticism turned to condemnation. This is simply unacceptable. It reportedly costs $592 million to build. This money should be spent on our troops and aid to the people of Iraq not on a shiny beacon to be used as target practice.

This post is the first of it’s kind. I rarely post about political news, if ever, and I’m not politically active.
